While location, staff and facilities are good, whole hotel needs a good clean! Bed was clean and comfortable but general room and corridor very grubby. Other guests waiting for lift also mentioned this. Also restaurant very overpriced for quality and quantity, was a favourite place to stay but no longer will we stay.
Extremely disappointed. My partner and I specifically booked this hotel for the pool knowing it would be a hot week and there was no disclaimer that it would be closed during our stay, yet it was shut for maintenance the whole time with no clear work being done on it. Staff was not particularly apologetic or helpful, although other guests told us they were offered complimentary breakfast yet we were not. A sad ending to what was meant to be a special anniversary weekend.
Our family just stayed here for one night in a two bedroom apartment. Beds were comfortable, air conditioning nice and cold. Wifi worked well. While the room was clean, it looked tired and in dire need of painting and overall freshen up. The bathrooms lack ventilation and shower head is awkward and sprays onto the floor. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for a light sleeper as a noise that sounded like an AC unit kicking in and out woke me up all night and made it difficult for our kids to sleep. Any staff we interacted with were friendly and professional. The pool is small, but nice and warm. We waited nearly half an hour for a $15 bowl of chips that we ordered from a nearly empty Waterfall restaurant. We chose to have dinner outside the hotel as soggy undercooked chippies didn’t fill us with hope! Overall it was okay, definitely room for improvement.
Whole stay: Wow did this go down hill.
We didn't have a great start and then we had an even worse finish.
We bought a package that had breakfast included, that they then tried to charge us for again at the end and had to have an argument about it.
We then accidentally left 2 pieces of clothing hanging in the wardrobe, to which they refused to check.
Will never be staying here again, service is shocking.
Half way through our stay: and I hope I leave a better review on departure.
The hotel and restaurant staff are great. Very friendly and helpful.
We had dinner at the restaurant, and the food had great taste and presentation. Down side was that we had a bit of plastic shard in one of our Oysters, the mussels had shells crushed through them and the construction of the seafood platter should probably keep the cold smoked salmon seperate from the hot Fish & Chips.
This morning we had breakfast at the restaurant again, think we timed it poorly at 9am as the food was a bit overcooked and the pastries seemed like they were left over from the day before.
The lobby on our floor had a few couches in them, wouldn't think it too difficult to take the covers off and wash them; the stains are fairly unsightly. As well as the pair of cloth seats in the restaurant.
As I said earlier, staff are wonderful and try their best, think the facilities/management need a clean up.
Hopefully we can update the review to 5 stars before we leave.
Attended Tribute To Legends Dinner Show last night. Held in the impressive Historic Ballroom which has nice sunset views, however bar service was slow and very poor with strangely enough no wine list to be seen anywhere and only one competent barman. The other barmen were basically clueless. The "one-course" dinner included in the ticket was reasonable enough, but no option for adding starter or dessert even at own expense. The tributes to Roy Orbison and Beatles were lacklustre, however Elvis tribute also included an unscheduled performance by one of Ricki King's relatives, who stole the show.

Dinner and Band at the Pagoda. The night was great. The Band was Awesome. Perth Paparazzi Band. Dinner was ordinary with choice of dry chicken or unseasoned fish. There was only one register open behind the bar making it a long wait in the …
I would rate this hotel as a 5 star :)
The Deluxe room has a spa, the furniture & fittings are premium. I feel so pampered and spoiled. …
